Iraq Deaths "A Good Investment"

In her Christmas message to the nation, Condoleezza Rice has explained why America was so keen to liberate Iraq.

"Iraq is a good investment, both in human life and in dollars", she explained. "If we had enough soldiers to sacrifice, there's nothing we couldn't do. I'd like to sacrifice a few thousand right here, right now, to move America even further forward. Possibly in an Aztec-style ceremony, just for a change. You know, behead them on a giant altar. I'm sure it would help.

Families of deceased soldiers were said to be "deeply moved" by Ms Rice's caring words about their sons. "We may have lost a son", said one, "but the Saudi dynasty has gained a huge investment. You have to balance these things out.

Ms Rice : "People say to me "aren't you just an ass-licking over-ambitious bitch who wants to be president at any cost", and it makes me sad to hear that kind of cynicism; nobody likes being spoken to that way by members of their own family.

"We went into Iraq for the right reasons, and we'll depart from Iraq for the right reasons too. And the people who say we shouldn't have gone there, or if we had, that we should have spent more money on reconstruction and development, and slightly less on bombing the shit out of civilians, well they don't really understand the economics of war.
